Hello

I was looking back over some of my older - Nature Photos...

When I came across the following sequence of deer pictures -

That were taken back in the early summer of 2014....

While I'd been walking down a trail,

That's located quite near to our home on the East Coast…

And it was during that - Re-treat Amongst Nature Walk...

When I'd suddenly noticed….

That I was being watched!

At which point.... I had then stopped..... to take the photo below

Now... I had thought at first…

That the only eyes upon me…

Were that of the Doe's…

And by the way...

I've always admired... Just how Gorgeous their eyes actually are

(Because just look at them….with those thick and long lashes)

But Then....

I'd Began to Notice....

That somebody smaller.....was following behind her…

(They are blurry however….

In the next photo...

As my camera was still mainly focused on the Doe)

The fawn had... Really Quickly...

And basically at the Exact Moment that I'd begun to focus in on them...

Begun to drop their head back down... behind their mother...

In order for them...to try and hide themselves... Completely behind her

And so...They were therefore ....

No longer even-slightly peeking over top of their Mom....

In order to try and see "Whatever" (or "who-ever") she was looking at

Then....

About 5 seconds....After the fawn had disappeared from my camara's sight....

By them dropping down... in behind their Mother

The Mother Deer... The Doe...

Suddenly began to run away from the area that I was photographing them in...

While Junior had then continued to hide & camouflage themself more deeply...

In the mixture of bushes & ferns... that were located...

Directly behind where the Doe is still seen standing... In the photo above

I of course.... didn't realize at first...

That my Eyes (And my Camera's lens) Following the Mother deer....

And thereby taking them both away from the fawn...

Was the Mother's whole plan in the first place!

Because after I had taken the sequence of photos below...

I had quickly discovered...

That Junior... with their color and natural camouflage markings...

Was actually "Almost" impossible to spot!

Yup... Quickly after I'd taken.... the last photo of the Doe... directly above...

I'd then turned my attention... and my camera lens...

Back to where I'd first noticed them.

While trying to once again... find the fawn.

Which I'd actually... Quickly discovered...

Wasn't as easy... As I'd originally thought it would be!

However -

A few moment later....

(and just as I was about to give up)

The photos below... were what I had managed to capture… of the fawn...

While it's standing as still as one of the branches...

And positioning themself...

In a non-straight manner...

So that they would be harder to spot amongst all of the crooked branches

And then...

Since they were now aware of the fact... That they'd been spotted by me...

They'd quickly gotten up to depart from that area

However ...

Just before they disappeared...

Further into the bush...

They'd stopped and given me - a Fawn's version... of a "Raspberry Expression"

And although she was still partially hiding...Behind the fern...In the photo below…

That is still my favorite picture... Out of the set of them... During that excursion

Which is why I have used it for certain wall-décor photos

that I've done for others...

Plus - it also makes a great screen-background photo
